This was fun! Even though the main characters are 18 years old, I didn't struggle to relate to them or cringe at their behaviour, something I have experienced with other YA books. I also really enjoyed that the characters were comfortable in their sexuality. Coming out stories are 100% valid, but I loved just reading about two queer people falling in love without any homophobia involved. All in all, this checked all the boxes of a good romcom: lighthearted, with some serious topics sprinkled in, believable challenges and that intoxicating friends-to-lovers chemistry. The perfect book to read between more challenging reads!

I try so hard to add something to the conversation, to pepper in one of my talking points, but each time I've worked up the perfect thing, they've already moved on to another topic entirely. Poor Molly... That's how I used to feel when I was younger. But it does get better!

A love song to Black art and thought, an exploration of intimacy and vulnerability between two young artists learning to be soft with each other in a world that hardens against Black people - Yaa Gyasi
I could not describe this book better. It's love, it's pain and most of all it's pure poetry. It has been some time since I was this deeply moved by a book. Even after finishing it I could not stop thinking about it. I've borrowed this one from my library and I am strongly considering buying a copy for myself. I merely wished we would have seen more of the female love interest, her life, her thoughts and emotions. There's still so much I don't know about her. Nevertheless, I would 100% give this book five stars in a heartbeat and would even dare to say that everyone should read it!

Excited to start this read of 1070, possibly the longest book I have ever read!
I really enjoyed the first chapter and the look into our main characters close family tree and how their parents met!
I don't really know what to expect from the story but hoping to read atleast a chapter per day to make slow process!
