I am only on page 44 but I am already loving it! Their dynamic as children is cracking me up :D

I was so excited when I found out there's a sequel, since I really loved the first one. Unfortunately, this time I was a little disappointed. I did enjoy the background story and how everything deepened Kiki and Malakai's tension. But the actual romance plot was actually somewhat annoying. From page one, it was clear that Bakari and Kiki do not match at all. Kiki repeating again and again that they 'work' when they so obviously did not almost made me want to stop reading. Though I loved the slow burn in the first book, this time it felt repetitive as well. You can only use the 'from flaming lust to immediate hatred'-scene so many times before it becomes boring and predictable. Still, I enjoyed the book. Like the first one, it's really well written, funny and spicy, and I loved seeing Kiki and Malakai grow :)
