Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

Intro to Poetry 🍋📜❤️🔥

This is an introduction to modern poetry, with a focus on breadth of voices and styles rather than depth. In the words of Leonard Cohen, "poetry is just the evidence of life...if your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash." This quest is for those who love poetry, hate poetry, want to write it, read it, or perhaps have nothing to do with it (or all of that at once)!

Honestly I’m being overly generous with 2 stars. I have a very deep dislike for abuse of a girl or a woman without the purpose to back it up. This is all style and shock value, no substance I kept picking up on a deeply misogynistic undertone that never gets unpacked and I’m wondering if it’s subconscious on the page The things being said about the book and what it discusses don’t actually feel present in the text. There’s no resolution, no arc, and no tangible growth. It feels so unfinished and like the first two thirds of the book before any growth occurs, like there should be another 100 pages of resolution
