I know this is unseasonably early to be thinking about Christmas presents but, as there’s a crafting element involved, earlier is better 🤣 for two friends, I’m hoping to make them a crocheted book sleeve/envelope and I’m also hoping to colour match the book cover inside to the yarn chosen.
For one friend, I’m going dark green, lilac, and white. She loves murder mysteries and thrillers, ideally no spice or sexual violence involved, especially ones with unusual investigators eg The Three Dalias.
For the other, I’m going dark blue, brown, and yellow. She’s generally a fantasy girl, but has recently fallen head over heels with Heated Rivalry so romance is back on the table. She buys the entire series so the covers will match, so standalones are ideal.
I know this is niche but I’m ever hopeful someone will know a colour matching book cover! TIA 🥰

Science fact in science fiction
One of my hyper-specific favourite genres is SFF books that build on and incorporate real science to make all the crazy stuff they're talking about sound plausible. (Work in progress!)

Currently wish these characters had something resembling a personality. She gets a get out of jail free card (amnesia is a good excuse) but oh my god Sawyer
