I only now read the first three books, so it wasn‘t a coming back to this fandom, this world but a continuous read. That said I really enoyed Threads of Power. Schwab managed to bridge the gap of seven years between the first trilogy and now quite easily. Giving glimpses what the characters were up to and how life changed for them. This mix between flashbacks and crrent events were integrated quite seamlessly. I found the mix between new and old characters quite satisfying. You get plenty of Kell, Lila, Rhy and Alucard which I appreciated.

While reading I knew how the different story bits are likely gonna be linked, forseeung some „plot twists“, but I still found the story thrilling and really fun to read. I can‘t wait for the next instalment since I habe no guess how the story is going to continue precisely - a few directions yes but nothing concrete…
