This was not a great book in my opinion. This is the second Neil Gaiman book I've read and the first one I read I only gave 2 stars. I just don't believe that this author is for me. I'll stick to the movie from here on out.

This book is truly just a gem! If I hadn't had a migrain all day today, I definitely wouldn't have put it down and would have ignored every other book on my TBR until it's done. Hopefully, my head feels better tomorrow so I can read more of this physically tomorrow!

This book is going to have me in tears, I can just feel it! I am doing this as a buddy read with my bestie, Brittany, and I'm so glad we are finally getting to this book! I absolutly LOVE Kelly (Carol) Bishop and have loved her in everything I've ever seen her in but my favorite role she's ever played is definitely Emily Gilmore in Gilmore Girls. This show and this actress will always hold such a sweet and nostalgic place in my heart and I'm truly so excited to read all about her life!

But wait!! When Cotlon said to Poppy, "When he breaks your heart, come find me, okay? I'll be waiting," my entire heart shattered! This may be my favorite book of the series so far and I gave the other 2 full-length novels 6 stars each! OMG, I just love Poppy, Colton & Lukas so much! They're dynamic is everything I need. I cannot wait to read more of this book!

Started this on audio today and I'm not the biggest fan of the audiobook. The narrator sounds like she is forcing an Alabamian accent and it kind of takes me out of the story. But this is a classic that I've always loved so immersion reading has helped me a lot. I'll hopefully get this done on Monday since I only have about 60% of the book left.

This was a really good first book! I don't really enjoy info-heavy worldbuilding in fantasy (I know that's weird and unique to me lol) but this was really good after about halfway through chapter 3 where it truly started to pick up. I loved all of the characters and can't wait to get to know them better in the next books!

I'm still really enjoying this book. I will say that the beginning is a bit slow with the world-building and getting to know characters even though I do really enjoy the world-building and the characters we have met. There was a bit more action at the end of chapter 3 and throughout chapter 4 than there had been in chapters 1 & 2 and the beginning of chapter 3. I'm hoping it will continue to pick up as I go so I can give this first book a higher rating since I've had this entire world of books on my physical shelf for almost 3 years.
