Thoughts from 21%- Start of Chapter 9

I can’t help but feel like this writing style is losing me a bit. I’m curious where this story is going to go, but the world building has not felt well developed to me. Thanks to a character who is new to the world, we learn more about it and how this all works, but otherwise we’ve just been thrown into it and then gotten an info dump. Is anyone else relating to this feeling?
