“Slip me into your brain, keep me forever.”
this book was so lizzie and hughie coded
did it really have to be 80 chapters long? no. I felt like the book dragged on for quite a bit at some parts, and the push and pull of Bennett and Paloma’s relationship seemed repetitive, which I guess is the point - they always seem to come back to each other - but at a certain point, it got frustrating.
Don’t get me wrong, this was a good read and I adore this series. This one was especially heavy on the mental health rep and the topics were dealt with really well. But if you took out their struggles, I could not tell you anything about them aside from their relationship. All he wanted to do was take care her and basically be her babysitter, but for why??? There was minimal plot progression or character development idk man.
Kinda excited about Toren and Lily though!
Don’t put this off because it’s still a nice read, it was just a little uneven for me at times.

“But as long as I’m close to you, nothing else matters.”
this was giving johnny and shannon in another universe.
this was a nice read but it was a little underwhelming for me considering I heard such good things about this, maybe because I read some spoilers or maybe because the story seemed a little repetitive at times. And there were quite a bit of loose ends, which I’m hoping will be tied up in the next book. But, that ending! I was not expecting that at all.
The found family though, I loved that. Being able to see such supportive friendships, my heart is with all of them!!

“Shoulders back, tits out, bitch. You were born for great things.”
this was so stickin cute, give me 14 of em right now! it’s safe to say a bodyguard, forbidden romance trope will do it for me every time, even if it’s an absolute cliche. this was definitely an easy palate cleanser. loved their teasing and banter, it made me smile so much. i had such a silly, goofy time!

hey so what was that? i’ve was so incredibly excited about this book but this was not what i expected at all. i genuinely can’t believe it took me this long to get through an abby jimenez book.
it made me feel icky and uncomfortable in the worst way, i had the biggest pit in my stomach reading this. i don’t think i’ve read a book built so heavily on emotional cheating and i don’t think i ever will again.
i understand relationships are complicated and this is real life to so many people, but this was emotionally so messy for everyone, even me.
