“You see an elderly person, you want to congratulate them on their longevity, ask the secret of survival. A plump person is envied because they aren't scraping by like the majority of us. But here it is different. Wrinkles aren't desirable. A round belly isn't a sign of success.” Is our world really so similar to the Capitol, where a flat belly is a sign of beauty, and old age does not equal success? Are we that paranoid about being judged when other humans are struggling, fighting for another chance, they probably aren’t worried about a flat belly? Or smooth skin.
