I wasn't sure what the best way to communicate this would be, but since the foreword (at least in the audio version I listed to) doesn't address this, I do find it important to note in advance that The Route of Ice and Salt reproduced racist language and stereotypes for/about Romani people. I did read the story in a way that intended for this language and stereotyping to fit the characterization of the narrator (I.e. that it might have been intended to frame the narrator in a negative light), but I'm unsure about this. Regardless of the author's intention, I felt the need to communicate this somewhere and let people trying to complete this quests know what to prepare for in/expect from The Route and Ice and Salt.

This is a great place to share personal updates, what you think of the book so far, and quick thoughts (ex. "loving this so far"). The book forums are still the place to start more in-depth discussions relevant to the broader community.
