I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. It was kinda confusing at times, but I'm pretty sure that was the whole point, and the beginning was extremely slow with nothing really happening until the 50% mark. I still found myself enjoying the first half regardless though. It has a pretty abrupt ending that left me with more questions than answers, but that choice felt like Jackson's way of tying up all the spookiness with a scary, disturbing little bow, if that makes sense đ definitely a spooky little read that I don't recommend reading right before bed like I did đ¤Śđźââď¸

4.25 â This was so cute!!! Really makes me wanna visit the Pacific Northwest now too haha I love a good friends-to-lovers story. Definitely some of my favorites when it comes to romance. At times, I got frustrated at how over-the-top their friendship was and how blatantly obvious the chemistry was, but it made for cute scenes. Lots of kicking and giggling while reading this one. Took off 0.75 of a star because I really wanted more when it came to healing her relationship with her mom. That part of the story felt kinda rushed there at the end, despite it being very important to the character's development. Overall, I loved the characters, the setting, and the vibes a lot which made for a very solid read đ
