I have a specific Page in my journal for tracking my daily reading. Is color coded, with small squares. Black is 0-10 pages, Green is 10-60 pages, Brown is 60-100 pages and golden is 100+. So if I've read 40 pages, I'll color that square Green.

But sometimes, when I am literally exhausted or I am reading in a foreign language, I just FEEL that I've read way more than I have, just because the effort has been bigger. And what do I do? I will fucking color that square brown even if is green because I deserve it. "But thats lying in your stats" 🤐🤏🏻😏shush, sweet summer child. If a small square gives me dopamine to keep my efforts high, I'll take it.
