a castle under siege is visited by Saints, but they are not at all what they appear to be. what follows is a descent into a decadent and delirious madness. filled with subtle, but intense sapphic yearning, this book is purely a book of vibes. if youāre looking for medieval accuracy, this may not be the book for you. if youāre looking for a sapphic fever dream with an intense atmosphere and tense build up, this may be the book for you.

In Manchester (UK) thereās Social Refuge which is a LGBTQIA+ cafe during the day and bar at night (has a good vibe for anyone sober as some of my friends our and itās a good neutral place!) but inside the right-hand side is a dedicated Queer Library called āQueer Litā. The shelves are separated into each of the letters and then also some more dedicated to art & education, YA, children and BIPOC. Itās just such an authentically nice space with an effortless fell.
Every time I go everyoneās so nice, ready to talk about the book youāre browsing on the shelves or reading at the tables and recommend others of it. The staff are also so nice, instantly know all the books and also love a good chat on it!
I know everyone on here seems to be dotted around the world but thought it would be nice to share our favourite library/bookshops/reading places!? If nothing else itāll give me places to visit on holiday š«£š„³š«¶š»

I recently came accross an interview with Max Porter. He mentions not to limit yourself with different types of books! From children books, poetry, novellas, translated etc. Our age shouldnt limit us, if anything teaches us something :)
Q: Im curious what are yall reading or planning to read this 2026 that you havent read before??

Iām transitioning from Goodreads because I no longer want to support that platform, but one thing Iām missing is a place for quotes. On Goodreads, thereās pages for quotes from books and any quotes you like or add will show up on your page. I like to go back and look at these from time to time. On Pagebound, I can put a quote as an update for the book Iām reading, but then in the future I will have to go to that books page to see that quote. Just wondering if Iām missing anything or what others are doing to keep track of these quotes. When I transferred my Goodreads library over, thatās the one thing that didnāt transfer. :(

āDeath is the natural result of life. One follows the other, inevitable as the sun rises and sets. But though the setting sun cools the air and wakens the beasts of the night, death instead is a singular rupture. Death does not come all at once; it leaves many of us in the sunlight behind, to grapple with a loss that comes seemingly out of order.ā
