Hi! I'm new here and in order to start i have imported my books database from Goodreads, but some books have not been imported correctly. Is a letter wrong in the title or something else is missing, so the system did not put them with the other versions of the same book, but has created a new version. This mean that i cannot see the forum updates or to use this books in quests. I do read mostly translated books - I'm guessing that it is an important factor here. Do you have any idea how can I solve this issue? Thanks a lot!

Well that was disappointing. I was not excited or invested for a single moment. Will not be continuing with Osman.

Hey guys I am totally new here and I feel a little lost. Iām German and I think my English is not good enough to write here (but I try to face my inner demons). This app feels so cozy and frightening at the same time lol I made a list and thought that people would enjoy but it just got downvotes and that crushed me a little bit.
But then there was a cute little person who explained to me why this could happen and now I donāt want that feeling of a bad start stop me from using this app.
Also I still donāt get how this app really works and I want to change that. I read the FAQ but still feel a little bit lost. Are there any tips you can give me to get a little orientation? How can I get in touch with people? What are mistakes I should avoid?
(I feel absolutely cringe to post this and I am so afraid that you think Iām stupid, but letās face my social anxiety instead of feeding it š©·)

First of all - I am kinda overwhelmed by the positivity in this community. I'm a fresh user, really love it here and can't wait to expirience the next years with all of you. I want to apologise in advance about the bumpy english, it's not my first language. I try to get by without translation-apps š¬ Now about the topic: I started to make a mini version of every book i finish in 2023. My BF 3d-printed a little bookshelf, i scan the book i finished, print out a very small version of the cover, fill it with little cutouts from an old dictionary (so it feels like a book) and put them in the bookcase with little 3d-printed year-markers as separators. My problem with this is now that I've started to read a lot more eBooks and have no cover to scan. I can't go to the libraries here and scan the covers because they don't carry a lot of books in english. Most of the books don't have full covers (front, back, and spine) on google. If there are any seperate pictures i edit them (badly with paint, but at that size you cant really tell) into one cover but thats really rare. Most times there isn't any picture of the back to be found. Does anyone know where i could find full covers or has any idea for another solution?

What do you all think of the movie adaptations? We don't need to talk about The Watch-series... I really liked The Hogfather!

I started with good omens, the tv show was coming out and I read the book. Loved it then it, was then a toss up between trying Pratchett or Gaiman and it turns out I chose correctly!!
