    There are newer books on grief that I preferred (perhaps, because they are newer and thus more relevant and thus more relatable) however it can't be denied that Joan Didion has such a beautiful way with words. She'll write a sentence that just meanders and takes you through time and eventually circles back. And tbh, with anyone else, it would be dizzying and messy, but she manages to do it in such a way that I find myself hooked.

    I'm looking forward to reading more from her!!!!
