This was fun and I laughed a lot, but there's also plenty of heavy stuff about violence and humanity and faith and right vs wrong. The semi-alternate-history setting is super interesting. Note this is EXTREMELY violent. I'm not sure if I'll continue the series as the last 1/4 felt quite repetitive.

Compelling story but perhaps over complicated. The tech jargon made it hard to follow at times. Still fun!

I love weird gender and messy gay people but this was a total flop for me. For a book supposedly about being genderqueer it's sure full of gender stereotypes... I expected this to be an exploration of what it would be like to be able to change your body to match your current feeling of gender, but if we're being honest Paul only ever used his ability to get people to have sex with him.

First of all, I found the author's voice really sweet so listening to the audiobook was a pleasure.

Secondly, this book made me want to actually build a community with my neighbors, which, being an introvert, isn't something I want to do on a regular basis.

And I want to eat strawberries now.
