On Monday i read three of these in a row and didn't do anything else. I guess I needed a decompression. They are a fun easy read.

This is the second book in a series and it took me a bit to get into it in the beginng, but once I did I was all in and had a hard time stopping. Which messed with my sleep! I love the humor Crusie puts in her stories and all the whacky characters. I enjoy the tough guy bad ass hero who in also not an alphahole creep. And maybe I identify with Liz and all her t-shirts.

The male lead in this series drives a Jeep Gladiator and I hate them and every time the character calls it a Jeep I roll my eyes or make a derogatory comment. Why do I care so much? Well mostly because it's fun to be salty. On the other side of this, the female lead calls it a Gladiola and I'm here for that. This has nothing to do with the actual story or book lol. I'm enjoying it so far. Always found Crusie to be a fun read. Mayer is growing on me. Too bad about the Gladiator thing though. I'm gonna hold that against him. (j/k - mostly)

It was okay but was really more of a really long prologue.

Lots of smut, which is the only reason I read it. I think this author is good at character voices. Um, also she is really into astrology so all her characters are too I guess. This book runs alongside the first two, and sometimes that means there are odd jumps. But I had fun reading it.

Okay, so this reminded me of reading fanfiction in that it seemed like the author was pansting this and had already posted previous chapters and couldn't edit them for continuity. I still enjoyed much of it, a simple, popcorn read, with some okay smut and a happy ending. There was one particular inconsistency that really bothered me, though. I am still working out my rating system, so don't hold me to anything
