šššinteresting. Super quick read about 1.5 hours and put me in a good mood but also I have no idea why I read this right before bed
Spoiler: I didnāt absolutely love the ending but the original āplot twistā was great and had me screaming

Itās been exactly 2 months since I picked this book up last and Iām 73% of the way through. I think I got bored because people were standing around doing nothing for way too long. Things happened but at the same time it was just fluff. Yes they had sex but like, when is she going home is she going home? Things need to happen. I loved the first book in the series, quickly had to put down the second book, and now this one. I LOVED their chemistry and relationship at the beginning but now weāre in deep and thereās a lot of back and forth so much that it tired me out. I need to know how it ends thoughš³.
Going to reread the scene of them outside her hotel room to hype myself up and get back into thingsš

Finished listening to the audiobook for the day and realized I was only at 39% and felt flabbergasted. I feel like IM drained from the war and we arenāt even half way thru the book. And I def mean that in a positive way. Listening to this story truly felt like a piece of me was being transported and Iām exhausted from it lol

"She wouldn't be surprised if those death stares would be apart of them forever now. Men staring into a world they no longer were apart of, no longer comprehended. A world where the ground beneath your feet exploded. Another kind of casualty."
"She thought of other men who had grabbed her hand over the past few months, begged her to answer the question "Who will want me like this?" And it struck her, it wasn't just physical wounds that soldiers would take home from Vietnam. From now on, all of them would have a deep understanding of both man's cruelty and his heroism."

I wish the prologue hadnāt happened and the story was just told in order. I know it was to get our attention but I was confused and thought this was her second time to be married to someoneš¤¦š¾āāļønot the same guy just later in time
