I know this author started her writing journey through fanfiction, I just can’t prove it.
honeslty I would recommend skipping this one unless you are looking for something very YA. A lot of the story beats just felt a bit predictable and didn’t grip me how I had hoped they would.

i really wanted more from this book. it is just not hitting right like it has all the makings/tropes of some of my favourite books: academic rivals to lovers, dark academia, fun magic systems yet the writing is just not hitting hard enough for me to enjoy it.
