Forced into unending sleep or perilous insomnia, repeating tedious daily routines until your body rots, watching as your skin starts to glow or your hands sprout scales—these novels feature illnesses that are far from typical.

Shout out to all of us out here absolutely struggling to narrow our choices down to just 3 votes because there are SO MANY great lists and we're interested in so much!
I spent over an hour going through everything and making some tough calls...and still ended at almost 30 lists. 😬
Anyone have a process you're using that's been helpful in deciding your final 3? Are you only considering what you're interested in, or are you also thinking about the community overall and what genres or themes aren't currently represented? Are you trying to have both main and side quests represented in your vote? I'd love to see other ways I can approach my next round of consideration.
I hope community voting goes well enough for Pagebound to move forward with it quarterly because I'm so incredibly excited we get this opportunity. These badges are gonna be so sick. 🤯

Happy Thursday. What's been your favorite badge to earn and why? Im a bit biased to the sheer design of a badge, but also the unexpected 4+ star reads that come from participating in a readalong or seasonal. I really like my sparkly winter badge ☃️ because 1. its cute and 2. it included so many unexpectedly wonderful reads. It also got me to read books I probably would have never picked on my own!

Okay, this might be a weird one. I technically have read enough books in one quest that I've not joined to get the badge for it, and I kind of want that badge. However, most of the books I read within that quest are books I'm actually not that bothered by, even if others sound interesting, and it would feel sort of dishonest to join it and get that badge? I'm not so bothered about it in general – I'm basically using quests as recommendation lists for stuff that I either know that I like (e.g. Gothic literature) or want to get into (e.g. intro to poetry). This specific quest would kind of be an exception to that, since while it's something that I like when done well it's not really something that would drive me to read a book. I guess I'm mainly looking for second opinions? Should I join the quest and get the badge, or leave it for now? And has anyone else here had a situation like this before?
