alice and peter’s debate about the mathematics of representing hell on a map made my inner nerd so happy.

6 star read. listening to the audiobook made this experience infinitely better & felt more intimate to hear her story in her own voice. heartbreaking, comforting, inspiring all at once

This world-building is so fun. I love the possessed printer and “No representation without exsanguination”, the dry-erase pens in the salt jar, the justification for the no-phones rule and the realism in how difficult and time-consuming that is to enforce. The mix between mundane and magical almost reminds me of Terry Pratchett (please don’t come for me for daring to compare anyone else to him—it’s just a similar-ish vibe so far)
