I loved this book. It was amazing go read it right now. I loved that Flora chose her career because of her and her sister shared love of picture books, I love that even though her little sister is deaf, which is something that people might think makes her less than, she still looks up to her so much and has such a beautiful sibling relationship with her. Now I know this book is a romance and as much as I absolutely adored Flora and Fletcher, I really enjoyed the friendships this book made, I love the mystery of it like how you don’t really know much but you slowly learn more as you go like as if you’re developing a friendship with the other characters along with Flora, and everyone has this mysterious vibe to them but when you get to know them properly they’re just ordinary wonderful people with their own complicated lives. This book had such a charm to it like the way Flora romanticises everything and makes it feel so beautiful and peaceful even when set it in such a busy, fast moving city like NYC. The writing was so beautiful and enjoyable and flowed really well and all the descriptions of even the tiniest of things were so beautiful. It really felt like the kind of book that would be perfectly suited to both of them, a perfect book for their book club, it was bright and hopeful and fully of self discovery but also deep and mysterious and even a little dark, as if the book perfectly had a piece of both Fletcher and Flora embedded into it. It was also so sweet of her friends to attempt to learn ASL for when her little sister came to visit. This book was seriously amazing and their is so many more things I could say about it, but the last thing I will say is I loved every part of this and also loved that Fletcher secretly made their ‘30 second’ hug last three minutes. Go and pick up this book and get completely lost in it like I did. 💕💕
