I started this book confused and ended it pretty much the same?? Idk it was a lot of lofty description and minimal plot. I was advised to “read it based on the vibes, not on thought” but my vibe was just “huh???” throughout. I’ve heard really good things about it so I was excited to jump in, but that’s exactly how it felt - like jumping into a bottomless pool with no way back to the surface. Truth be told, I almost have no idea what I just read.

I've heard mixed reviews about this so I went in skeptical, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's pretty much exactly my preferred genre. The descriptive writing had potential to feel excessive, but it painted such vivid pictures of the environment, which really helped me get into the story.
