Maybe I'm just gay, but the way these women describle other women does not sound very platonic to me personally but what do I know ..

The first Smut Salon is definitely an interesting read. It's crazy how quickly Samantha falls into trying for the Bunnies' approval. She hates them right? Thinks they're embarassing and less than her and act like kids, right? Yet she loves getting even a hint of their approval. She couldn't be less self-aware if she tried.

Samantha clearly does want to fit in with the Bunnies (waving excessively & wanting to go to Smut Salon) but can't admit it to Ava or herself. She's built hating them into her personality especially with Ava. Ava is nothing like them, as Samantha describes, and is completely content while Samantha is nothing like them but isn't content with herself.

Picked up a copy ASAP and am already loving it after just the prologue. The Bunny vibes are already immaculate and I know seeing all the differences from the original story is going to be so fun!

I am so sick of hearing about Altan. I genuinely feel so bad for Rin with the way that relationship has impacted her and I need her to finally move past it asap - even though I’m sure she won’t cause obviously it’s not that easy. I cannot think of a single positive thing that came from her relationship with that man.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle mention!!! If you're reading that book and genuinely wondering if Merricat's 'magic' would work for you I feel like you immediately know you're a bit detached from reality. I wonder if Felicity will end up an unreliable narrator like Merricat.

I'm really enjoying the pacing of the book so far and how we're jumping between the past and present. I'm super curious where things are going to go from here and wonder what the magic is going to be like/how real it's going to get. Also curious what the nature of Felicity and Ellis' relationship is going to be - could it turn romantic even though Felicity is clearly not over Alex? What are Ellis' real intentions when it comes to getting to know Felicity? Really enjoying so far.

I like that we’re gradually getting more details about Alex’s death through passive comments about it. It’s definitely more engaging than just being told flat out, and I like that it seems like she’s genuinely unintentionally including new details each time it’s brought up.
