I admire how the characters are so well-written in this book.

There is Suseborn the national Hallandren baby boy (or God King) and it is satisfying and refreshing to find a man with supposed power and wealth be as innocent as he is. I kinda expected his and Siri’s arc to fall into an enemies to lovers trope (maybe it did in some sense) but Suseborn is a soft boy!

Following Vivena’s arc makes me want to read more from her. She feels realistic and her pov asking who she was, is, and will be speaks to my soul. I’m happy to know that she’ll be reappearing in the SA books!

And ofc my fave character is Lightsong the Bold. He is so witty and funny. I love his musings and how he annoys people around him. Such a fun vibe at first. I like his build-up into finding and connecting to his past self. His arc is by far the best I’ve read so far. 😭
