I love Tiffany D Jackson and her writing and so do my students! For that reason I was so excited to read this early!! This book took the mystery a bit more slowly than some of her other books but when the book picks up it is HARD to put down! Another good book from this amazing writer and I cannot wait for the next!

How do you all organize use your home library? Alphabetical by title, by author, by genre, or another method? I’m really curious to know what everyone does. TIA!

  • Fellow reader pov? Authors writing places they’re not from - an understandable pet peeve?

I’ve recently gotten into cowboy and/or small town romances thanks to Lyla Sage. A huge part of me loving the books is because she is from Wyoming so to me it’s not like it was purely making things up or a money grab…

Now I’m trying to find reads that scratch the same itch but have realized a dilemma: I don’t appreciate when authors write about areas they’re not from/have no relation to. Am I wrong?

For instance currently trying to read a book written by a Canadian and the book takes place in Kentucky… I really want to like the book but that keeps nagging at my brain and how I can’t find any author notes or anything about her reasoning.

Please fellow Boundlings let me know your thoughts 🙏🏼tried Googling but was meh results.

Also trying to learn to enjoy books even though they’re very very similar… trying to view it as romance tropes so “allowed” to do basically the same thing but slightly different?

    Happy reading! 📚🐎

  • Let's help each other to tackle this Monday

Hello fellow Boundlings, How are you today?

I've woken up (like every Monday) with an impending sense of dread about the work week ahead. But it's not fair: I already give Capitalism a lot of my time and energy, I refuse to give it also my emotional wellbeing.

Therefore, I've decided to treat this day as an adventure. The main quest will be to be present and kind.

What will your main quest for today be? Can you give me ideas for side quests to add a little joy and whimsy to this day?

    Book Nostalgia ✨

I was talking to my partner about what we used to read when we were younger and what books or series are super nostalgic to us and I was just wondering, what are some books like that for you? ☺️ Are there any books or series that are really nostalgic for you or maybe really shaped you in your younger years?

For me I think it’s probably The Hunger Games (like probably 90% of my generation😅), I just reread them as an adult for the first time and it was soooo great. Really nostalgic, but also such a different experience to read them with a fully developed frontal lobe (I’m looking at you Gale 🤨) And also (!) the infamous Warriors series (or Warrior Cats as they are called in German), I was the biggest fan (borderline obsessed tbh), I’m pretty sure I’ll never read them again, but they are very dear to my heart ❤️

But anyways, what are some of your nostalgic reads? I’m curious! 😇
