i LOVED this book way more than i thought i would. complex characters, unreliable narrators, period-accurate misogyny and classism, psychology (even in its developing, 19th century form), AMBIGUITY, and the haunting realization that we will never truly know what happened in real life
my only issue was that the ending seemed a bit rushed, but it might have just been my mindset at the time of reading
overall i love it i feel like it will live rent free in my head for a while
