“ how you love yourself is how you teach others to love you.”

"I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have... the wait was worth it."
My Review: Spoiler Free I enjoyed this book WAYYY more than the first two. While the earlier books focused on the romance, this one felt much bigger. It jumps immediately into a high-stakes double agent situation that kept me on edge, and I loved how high the stakes felt throughout the entire war. My attachment to the Inner Circle grew so much here, especially with Cassian and Azriel—their loyalty is unmatched. I couldn’t get enough of their scenes, it felt like a breath of fresh air to see their banter, know their lore and see how they interact with Feyre’s sister However, Mor started to get under my skin; her constant interference with Nesta felt overbearing and honestly frustrated me. On a lighter note, the way Elain’s character arc was handled was hilarious and brilliant. It perfectly transitioned from "who tf is Elain" to "wtf is Elain" and finally to a frantic "WHERE TF IS ELAIN?"🤣 She was SOO underrated . Also, i don’t know if i can like Nesta as a character, which sucks because im so invested in cassian but ofc they might be together but oh well.
On the downside, the LGBTQ+ representation felt forced and dragged out. Instead of feeling like a natural part of the story, it was written in a way that made the character come across as selfish, which unfortunately made me lose my connection to that character. As someone apart of the LG(B)TQ community it was very disappointing to see them written as a stereotype… Overall, this book was a total emotional powerhouse. I felt every single moment and seriously couldn't put it down. I feel like it’s a must read. I would be satisfied if the series ended here tbh.
