Serge is the best character in this book and no one can take that away from me. Idk if the speed that I'm finishing books these days is affecting how good they are but this is another banger. It's got thriller plot points, amazing imagery that made me feel like I was there and could reach out and touch the plants, and it's just great in general.

You get to bonk someone involved in producing your current read in the head. The author, editor, cover designer, whoever lays out the book, the marketing team, whoever. Who are you bonking? Why? What weapon do you choose to use?
My current read is a nonfiction book about climate change. I would like to address my complaint to the genius who decided to use this tiny ass font size. With a baseball bat. A toy one, maybe. I can be nice.

This book ripped me out of a multi month reading slump and brought me back to the bookish community so fast I had to redownload this within the hour of finishing the book. Livia in rome is your classic teen romance, and by god does it do it well. It's a fairly fast paced and short book but it definitely left a lasting impact on me by having interesting characters that you could dissect and almost look into, and having some low level stakes that left me turning the pages and wanting more.
