definitely struggling a little bit with how it kind of drags, but that is probably a me problem because i understand about 5% of the sciencey talk. it's taking me forever to finish because i just rarely feel like picking it up 😭😭 idk how much of it is based in real science and how much is just made up sci-fi stuff but either way there tends to be like entire paragraphs that just don't mean anything to me, and maybe thats on me for picking up a book that's so science-heavy just bc i liked the movie lol

mmmmh what to say about this book, i really enjoyed the first part, trying to solve the case, the good old investigation thats usually so good in these books but the second part dragged on too long, was repetitive and not that interesting to me. it didnt feel necessary and it took me some efforts to go through it. i loved pip's development through the first two books and into the beginning of this one too, she's an interesting morally grey character and i love the image of stanleys blood as sweat on her hands or the gunshots in her heart but i feel like it all kinda got a bit messy and confusing through the book especially the end and it lost me sooo ive got mixed feeling about it all and about the ending too which was a bit,, meh i think
