For me it's, "I immediately like them." I have never liked someone after they said two sentences to me, and this is almost always used on an extremely minor and/or annoying character.
Another is "But (this person/the government/the cult I've been indoctrinated into since birth) wouldn't (lie to me/be wrong) ... right?" ESPECIALLY if it is early in the book or the character is still supposed to be deep in their denial or indoctrination. It feels so lazy, like the author doesn't know how to actually write that transition.

i actually love the way this is written. it feels like adam silvera’s voice has grown with me as i’ve aged, and idk if that’s just bc the characters are older, but it just melts my heart a bit to know that i’m enjoying this and things are heartbreakingly beautiful.

this is my first time annotating in the margins with colored pens in a book, and i’m already enjoying it too much. i was nervous i wasn’t going to remember much from the first two books before picking this up, but i definitely remembered a lot more than i thought. love dalma young so much, and i love that orion is still alive!!

i’ve wanted to sit down and read this book for so long, and i picked up today since i had a lull in my work and it’s just so phenomenal. i can hear amb’s voice in the writing, and the way that she notated “uses of the erotic” really made it feel like i was in conversation with her. i always love learning from Black queer women and femmes, so this book is such a treat to be able to read. plus, as someone who does sex research, it’s always fun to learn more and understand the variety of lived experiences (especially positive experiences)

cute little story about viv learning about coffee. it came right after the ending of the audiobook, so i went right into it. it wasn’t something i was fully engrossed in, but it made sense to include it

it was such a cute and fun story. i totally get why people love it. its just such a nice, low stress story that just placed a smile on my face. i also liked the ending chapter with the “pages to fill” and the epilogue bc hell yeah cat!
