Hi all, my first post here 👋 My goal for next year is to scroll less feeds and be more deliberate about the media I consume. Some times I feel stuck mindlessly scrolling through timelines just to overload my brain with useless noise. I'm sure I won't be the only one struggling with that... So my resolution for next year: less algorithms, more purpose and curation.
As part of that I'm hoping to read more books and be more active here (it's really cool to see how active Pagebound has become since I joined!). I really like reading, but I often don't 'find' time for it. So I think I'll set up a little daily ritual in which I read a bit before bed time. And who knows... maybe this influences my dreams a bit as well 🤭
As for what books, I really want to read more books written by women for women. Whether that's sapphic romance, feminist theory or a burst of feminine rage, I'm all for it.

If I have an extended amount of time to read something I usually try to find a thematic playlist or video on YouTube for background noise. I’m curious if anyone does this? Or has a similar audio ritual they have for reading time?
For example I just started reading Blood Meridian for the first time which is a western. So I started this session listening to Wilderness Campfire Ambience from the game Red Dead Redemption 2 on YouTube. 11/10 immersion for this book for anyone else reading it btw!
