i picked up this book because a friend loved it, but i’m neither an Arthurian myth enthusiast, nor a YA girlie, at all. so my lack of interest in continuing it might come from just that. it’s not a bad book though, because the writing and the characters are fine so far, but i’m not hooked at all.
a defence though, is that Bree is very real. she is definitely a 16 yo, acts like it and sounds like it, which is great to see. her grief and behaviour for that is also probably spot on, so no hate for that at all. i think she’s a character who needs to learn a lot, and that is rarely a bad thing.

Absolute blast of a conclusion for the first half. Every Stormlight book reminds me why I’m thoroughly obsessed with the series and why it is my all-time, never overthroned favourite, ever. And this book present that same sentiment too. This much emotion caused by a story should be illegal.
