The Curio Cabinet: The Symbolic, Strange & Surreal
Not all collections hold things you can touch. This one holds worlds that breathe, selves that dissolve, and realities that refuse to hold their shape. These are the fictions that live on the edge of what language can contain - and sometimes just beyond. Admission is free, through entry requires a signed waiver: the curator cannot be held responsible for any transformations that occur upon your exit. We welcome specimen recommendations!

Pagebound-coded books
A list of books that embody the kindness, joy, and community, along with the curiosity for radical justice, deep analysis, and deconstruction of systems of oppression that I see on this platform. In honor of PBโs birthday (Aug 13, I've been told)! I welcome everyone to leave a book + their explanation for why they feel it embodies PB energy in the comments; thereโs no right or wrong answer, I would love to see everyone's perspectives!

books to claim to have read to look insufferable
puts beret on a jaunty angle โwhy yes i went to Oxbridge and go skiing on my holibobs with papa, why do you ask?โ takes a hit of tobacco flavoured vape, puts asterisk in margin of the obscure classic iโm โreadingโ
the list for people who want to look โwell readโ and need some books to name drop - look no further if you have read them, more power to you, but this is explicitly about the people who claim to have read them but canโt read instructions on pasta
consider this a shopping list ๐ค

Let them read lobster ! ๐ฆ
With all the lobster talk going on, @Babygotbooks inspired this list, by giving it an awesome title. Lobsters are somewhat important parts of these books, whether being used as a metaphore, character, food or something else ๐. It varies wildly in genre, going from murder mystery, to children book, to essays, to weird smut. (recs always appreciated) I also made a same themed shelf with only french lit if you're interested. Hope you enjoy !

weird romance/erotic books
If I had a nickle for every time a book about milk and minotaurs ended up on my TBR because of book social media, Iโd have 2 nickels; which isnโt a lot but itโs weird itโs happened twice.
This is dedicated to the weird AF romance/erotic books Iโve come across.
erotic โ smutty (necessarily) it just may be erotically charged (ie Lobster)
submissions welcome
//PLEASE CHECK TW BEFORE READING ANY OF THESE BOOKS - READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION//

French Literature Final Boss
=== Work in progress ===
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature, I made starter packs but I'm thinking we just need a big dump! Thanks to everyone that participated and still do!
This list covers books across time by French authors (needs to be discussed and refined but hopefully can be inclusive and incentivize crossovers with the Francophonie mon amour list!)
Please be indulgent while I work on it and hop in the convo!

palate cleansers

HRCYED 3.0 x Pagebound Quests (Covers Edition)
If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that I think matches at least one of these cover prompts: craft, food, motion, biomes/landscapes, animals, weather.
