Nature is Fluid & Interconnected: A perspective blending Queer Theory (challenging norms around gender/sexuality) with Ecology (the study of relationships in nature). This list was generated from a post on pagebound club on Juneteenth in 2026. I opted to not try and make this list comprehensive but just to document the community recs from that day - however, if you have more books to recommend please comment in the forum! Prompts from the original post will be in the comments. Note: prompts asked for books by Black authors, not only those from/books set in the US. See comments section for more discussion.

These books were not chosen by me!! The Bocas Lit Fest is a Trinidad and Tobago based organisation that lifts up literary artists from the Caribbean. I wanted to have this list of books here instead of having to go back to their website when I wanted to reference it and thought that it may be useful to anyone looking for recent releases from Caribbean authors.
