So happy to see The T in LGBT on here! Jamie is such a cool guy and I can't wait to read his book! :)
I havenât read it yet but also super excited to!
If you know of any books that talk about gender/sexuality throughout the years or just that explains these topics deeply, please let me know, as this list is very incomplete and I'd love to gather as many books as I can
This is a great resource that I had shared with me recently. There is a LGBTQ+ history category, as well as SO many others! Can't wait to see what you do with this list! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OJtwyM8hrjvMzG6Gyq162KLwlNDaDCop7mvRHtr4Z84/edit?gid=589487854#gid=589487854
this is amazing, thank you so much for sharing!! Very excited to go through it đââïž
I love Tits Up, Its not about queer history completely but it does speak on the sexual presence of tits in queer relationships. Also, the author is in a WLW relationship, so the whole book is through a queer lens!
I love this!!! the history is so important to read aboutđ«¶đ»
exactly đââïž
Bi: The Hidden Culture, History, and Science by Julia Shaw; A Queer History of the United States by Michael Bronski; Charity and Sylvia: A Same-Sex Marriage in Early America by Rachel Hope Cleves; and Thank You for Calling the Lesbian Line by Elizabeth Lovatt would be great fits too đ Not history based but: Ace: What Asexuality Reveals About Desire, Society, and the Meaning of Sex by Angela Chen; and American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in A Turbulent Era by Nico Lang are also on my radar!
excited to check these out, thank you!!
Off the top of my head, I can recommend: Len and Cub: A Queer History Book by Dusty Green and Meredith Batt Missing from the Village by Justin Ling Queer: A Graphic History by Meg-John Barker More contemporary than history but recs still worth considering: We Have Always Been Here by Samra Habib Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H. On my TBR: Outrage by Elle Jones The T in LGBT by Jamie Raines
I love this list, so many books to read! I would personally also add Unsuitable a history of lesbian fashion :D
