Thank you so much for this. I look forward to adding more of these to my reading list!

Btw

I see Holy Wild is on here. In my review, I wrote out what I found re the allegations against the author and the author's response. Letting people know because I had no idea until after I read it:

what a lovely list! really appreciate seeing authors from across the Pacific and I'd never heard of the name Turtle Island before, big fan of using that more

2

Thank you so much! Yea I prefer using the Indigenous concept of Turtle Island over the term North America; as its namesake, Amerigo Vespucci was a colonizer.

Oh, so excited to dig in to this list! Thanks for making it. Suggestions okay?

oh i love this list!! If you're still adding, I saw Joy Harjo's collection of other poets "When the Light of the World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through" but not her personal poetry, so I'd love to see "Conflict Resolution for Holy Beings" and "Cloud Runner" by Harjo added! She also did the project "Living Nations, Living Words: An Anthology of First Peoples Poetry" which could fit here! Thanks for the list :)
