Yay! What are your faves?? I tend to lean more towards the darker themes. In all my books. I rarely read fluffier heartwarming ones but Iām trying to expand my genres.
I like ones that deal with tough psychological issues that need to be overcome. This can play out in enemies to lovers but also other MM sub genres.
Mind you, I actually havenāt read that many MM romances yet.

But it was ALOT of heavy things. I personally didnāt like it because it was less sex and more trauma. But itās a highly rated book that deals with heavy things. It was very intense. I could tell it was a really good book but not necessarily for me.
Iām putting that on my maybe TBR list. Iāve read a couple MM romances where serious mental illness and too much trauma bog the romance down. I prefer something in the middle. Like being a former bully and homophobic, even though the character themself is gay. Or another example is having a stereotyped idea about someone and having to overcome that view in order to be with that person.

It wouldnāt be the rowdiness that would keep me away. Itās more about time and energy. Iām recovering from a serious illness, and progress is rather slow.

I love MM enemies to lovers. Though most of the ones I've read aren't on this list. But most of my favorites are softer ones, so thats probably why they aren't on here.
