water based fiction

a selection of literature that has somewhat an eerie vibe, that focuses on oceans, rivers, ... any bodies of water, really. Water as transformation tool, water as a home or water as the thing giving life or killing it off. Sometimes water is a main character, sometimes it's just a presence, sometimes it's the lover, the friend, the family member, but other times it's the dream that can never be reached.

😲 I'm gonna have a look, thank you for the rec!!

actually just thought of another one since I apparently overlooked the fact that you already have one of her books on here the first time: Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy (in my—potentially unpopular—opinion, a much better book than Wild Dark Shore 🫣)

I wasn't a big fan of Dark Wild Shore, so that sounds good to me!! I'll have a look at it, too. Thank you! 😇
