The setting is Israel. The list description doesn't say anything about the stories or authors being Zionist. A book could even be about Palestinians living in Israel, and the discrimination they experience there...? (I haven't checked the books on here, but I don't see why the list in itself is problematic. If you have checked all the books and they are Zionist, you're welcome to correct me, it could be interesting to know for many people. Even if just some are Zionist, you could point out those, and maybe WillowMae would want to take them off the list?)
there is no such thing as israel - the flag, the name, and even claiming it is real is all zionist. thats literally the definition of zionism.
Thank you, I made it so it would be easier to find books set in Israel. For example the world reading challenge and for people who want to read outside what they know, I’m more than happy to pull books if they are from problematic authors.
The only one I’ve read is Ronit & Jamil which is set across both countries.
