Romantasy with A-grade character work šŸ¤Æāœļø

Books where the story is brought to another level by the character development, be it in the complex character building or the multi layered character arc. The writer made the characters like facets, every angle and every relation gives them yet another aspect to further deepen the dynamic between characters. Every little bit of past revealed shows us the way they became who they are now. Leaving us with characters arcs that feel like an entire story on their own that impacts the greater plot.

It’s a matter of ā€˜we need more like this’ felt important 🤭.

Oh my word, you were quick! Need more, read them all

Haha yes, I loved the idea you sparked so here we are. Need to deep dive into my archives some more šŸ‘€.

1

Wait didn’t read 3 and 4 of vampire series

2

Add anything Jess Wisecup, specially her paranormal. Amara Rae’s Lifeblood (paranormal and I think you will love it)

2

I’ve actually read book 1 of Lifeblood, I need to pick up the rest because I did end up liking that one, and I think I’ll love it more now that my comprehension of English has grown a lot. Which one of Jess Wisecup would be a good one to start with and more romantasy(ish)? ^^

2

Just replying with the book you have listed :) Between Wrath and Mercy. Older character, desperate to save her daughter, forced to ask old lover

2

Love discovering books that are already on my tbr šŸ˜‚ bumping it up the list!

Maybe Rain of Shadows and Endings by Melissa K Roehrich? I love this series, it has complex and very flawed characters, but the character growth is really slow.

Ooh, good one. I’ve heard really good things about this author’s character work before. It’s been on the tbr for that reason ^^.
