Asexuality? In My Fiction?

Ace spectrum representation in fiction! We've got a little of everything - aroace, grayace, demi...my main condition for this list is that the ace character has to explicitly be asexual.

Recommendations welcome!

Fantastic list! Thanks for linking me!

It's also flagged that Tarnished are the Stars (which is on my queer zombies list, but I havent yet got to because the only place that has it other than in paper, which I can't read, is audible 😭) also has ace rep! Nice!!! I knew from research that it had multiple queer characters but didn't realise there was ace rep included! Love it!! (Genuinely considering seeing if I'm eligible for a free audible trial to snag this one, now!? 🤔 I won't give them my money... But maybe?)

Got a couple reccs for you if you like, too!

The How We End series by LM Juniper (character doesn't come out as ace till book two, How We Survive, though - funnily enough it made the reveal better because it's a character you'd never have guessed would be ace) and the Cascadia series by Sarah Lyons Fleming. That starts with World Departed. There's four pov characters in that series and one of them is ace and it's some of the loveliest rep I've ever read, honestly! He has his soulmates, they're just his best friends! 🥰

I'm always here for recs, especially for this community.

The Cascadia series sounds amazing!!! Especially because it can be really hard to find that exact flavor of ace representation. 😊

It honestly is. They both are. Both have other queer rep in them too. They're my fave zombie books for the awesome found families haha. But the ace rep is absolutely the cherry on top.

How we End the ace rep is really only just building by the end of book 2, tbf, so I just can't wait to see what happens in a next book! It's written by a trans guy and all the rep in the series is chefs kiss, so I'm hopeful!
