im so excited about this list, omg, what book(s) do you recommend starting with ? 🫶🏽
So in Finding the B, I tried to list them in chronological publication order but in reality I'm reading them in random order based on vibes and access. I think the best starting place is going to be different for different people. What are you more interested in - a historical overview, a political vision, personal narratives, or where the B fits in the overarching LGBTQ+ community? Also, are you more interested in multiple sometimes contradicting perspectives or in one unified perspective?
thank you for this awesome list! im so happy i found this today!
If you're accepting suggestions, I recently read Bi: The Hidden Culture, History, and Science of Bisexuality by Dr Julia Shaw. She focuses on history as part of the book, but other sections focus on psychology and current world acceptance
Thanks for the suggestion. I did consider adding this and some of the other bi+ books that have been published since I created Finding the B in 2020 but in the end, I decided to stick with my list as it is since there are some other great lists on here that already include more of the newer books. Maybe if I ever make a second edition, I'll add those newer books to the ebook and to this list but for now I'm good with offering some of the older books that get missed in newer lists and leaning on other folks for the newer books!
True!
love to see this, thank you đź’—đź’śđź’™
