Obsessed with all your lists I LOVE cannibalism in stories!! especially when it doubles as a metaphor for a complex relationship and emotion (love, hate, obsession, ect). Thereâs SO many good books on here that fit that

ha thank you!! there's so much depth to cannibalism and how it's used in literature, art, and media. it is particularly present in stories centered around queer people and women, which I find very interesting!

i've decided to go through all of my lists and write a comment to provide some context for the books and the overall list itself.
all of the books on this list have, at minimum, one queer character who plays a prominent role in the story.
queerness and sexuality are themes explored in many of these titles, through romance, conflict, or even familial relationships.
some of these books, such as Beta Vulgaris and Jonny Appleseed, do not feature literal cannibalism, but rather metaphoric/symbolic cannibalism.
most of these novels are horror, but there is romance, historical fiction, short stories, graphic novels, fantasy, and non-fiction as well. they are in no particular order, and i have not read all of these titles yet.
bon appetit
I love this list!!
If you're looking for more recs, I absolutely loved First Creation by Mars Adler !!

thank you! it's already on the list but I haven't read it yet!! always looking for recommendations!
Oh yay!! I totally missed it!
