it might not be as direct as some of these other titles seem to be but there is a lot of discussion about maps so i don't think it'd be too out of place on the list

I am so here for this list!! Also, if you haven't seen it, I recommend watching this scene from The West Wing where they meet with the Organization of Cartographers for Social Equality. I feel like it would be a great primer to some of these.

I haven't had a chance to read any of these yet, many are on my tbr, but I think quite a few of these are written for the general public so prior knowledge shouldn't be needed!
with no prior geography/cartography experience, I’m reading (or have already read) This Way Up at the recommendation of my partner. It’s SUPER approachable and friendly. The book itself isn’t very technical but I’m still learning a ton and it’s pretty funny too.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to start, but I haven’t read any of the others on this list either.
