🪽Fantasy: Myth, Folklore, and More ✨

WIP, I just keep forgetting to start this. A list to compile mythic fantasy—fantasy with a focus on, or inspiration by, mythology, folklore, and legends. A blend of more modern storytelling that still has the emotional weight, lyrical prose, and an ancient feeling.

Very cool list! I think Vaishnavi Patel’s books definitely belong here. Probably also Circe by Madeline Miller and The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi.

Thank you for the suggestions! 🙂‍↕️ I've read Circe, but nothing by the other two authors, I'll see if I can peep some ebook samples for the vibes. 🩷

loooveee fantasy and folklore!! not sure how well this could fit into this list but the Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow has a ton of folklore, legends, nursery rhymes, and more in each chapter!!
