Haha, steal away!! I’m fascinated by it specifically from a systems perspective. Like the complex interplay of pH and temperature and chemical composition and all the cycles is plays a role in and how marine life impacts, benefits from, and is shaped by it??? So fucking cool ✨

Scope of this list will be nonfiction books about
- the ocean,
- how it works as its own ecosystem,
- the ways it impacts every other ecosystem on our planet,
- the impact humans are having on it,
- how life originally evolved and arose from it,
- and just how fucking cool it is.
Please note, this list will not intentionally include anything to do with complex, post-cretaceous organisms. Special exception may be made for foundational lifeforms such as plankton and cyanobacteria.
