I am not really sure where to put this (like, where on the internet, especially since I spend most of my internet time on Pagebound anymore) so ??? just throwing it out there: if anybody working on an arty small business is interested in starting like a little peer group on Signal or something like that, hit me up!! I keep thinking it would be so neat to have a small group for sharing tips, workshopping display ideas, swapping website critiques, that kind of thing!
EDIT: I decided to just set one up and let people join if they want! Signal group here Admin approval is on for new members; all members must be identified by their PB username.
Group rules are as follows:
â brainstorming, critiques, advice â sharing skills, knowledge, resources â workshopping packaging, displays, photos, descriptions, websites, and more â work toward your own goals â celebrating wins, commiserating over challenges đŤ self-promotion đŤ posting or recommending ai content of any kind, uploading other members' content into ai tools đŤ giving tax, financial, or legal advice đŤ Pagebound-related conversation
This is a neat idea. I still need to figure out my business model for how the fuck that works for zines eventually. I havenât decided or dug into much of anything yet. Love the idea of a shared space to work these kinds of things out. But I do know there are lots of existing recources online too. I was searching for an existing sheet for managing sales etc for zines the other day. Lmk if this happens?

Will do! Are you in the Indie Sellers Guild? That's the other place that occurred to me, but I'm not sure how much activity it really gets. I'd love to see that become a more active community space though.
What do you mean by a sheet, like a spreadsheet?
I am not. Nor aware of such a thing. Yeah, a spreadsheet! Love me a spreadsheet. Mostly wanted something to keep track of how many zines go in and out and which ones and costs to make etc. because I havenât sold them yet, just exchanges and for free but I also did not keep track well.

Link to the Indie Sellers Guild in case you're interested!
That makes sense! Improving my bookkeeping and inventory tracking is pretty high on my to-do list too, I am so disorganized đ I hope you can find what you're looking for!

I made a Signal group if you're still interested!
Oooh art is definitely my side hustle but this sounds like a great idea! I love an accountability buddy system.
Tbh even just a reading group around this list could be helpful

I made a Signal group if you're still interested!
Just requested to join, though my Signal name is not my PB username (I do not want to write it here since it's a non-anon username technically, and I use Signal a fair amount). If that's an issue I can see about setting up a second Signal account somehow, since Signal doesn't let you use different nicknames for yourself.

Bump! Since this list has been getting some attention recently, just letting PB know the Signal artpreneur group is small but active! Anyone here is welcome to join :)
