Lovable/chaotic Non-human Characters
This is just something I'm working on because I've decided this is my favorite trope. I'll be collecting here, so don't expect it to be amazing right now đ . These are characters that stray far from being human but still contain an edge of humanity that makes me feel okay to be delightfully weird. Suggestions welcome!

if side characters count. I recommend Minor Mage. It has a talking (very sarcastic) armadillo
That sounds perfect! I've never read it but trust you wholeheartedly . Also, I love when the non human character is the side character. It lets them riff without having to drive the narrative
you HAVEEEE to put legends & lattes in there because the character thimble is absolutely wonderful.

I think I generally want to keep this book to characters who are the odd one out when it comes to species. I'm also generally sticking with talking characters or characters that can express their point of view.
However, I am open to being persuaded away from either of these. It's just vibes at this point lol
