I didnât realize this was exactly my taste in books - great list!
glad to hear that :))
Oooh fun list!!! This is a bit of a spoiler, but Poison by Chris Wooding would fit this!
thank you! it may be a spoiler but it just makes me want to read a book more so đ¤ˇââď¸đ
Haha okay yay!!!
love this concept!! did you put mdzs in here bc of the flashbacks or smth else?
thanks đ I added mdzs mostly because it feels like people keep repeating each other's mistakes and all the parallels sometimes feel very cyclical to me. the flashbacks do help but I don't consider flashbacks the sole requirement for this. also I have like a feeling that I haven't yet fully explained to myself but it just feels right to add it?? what do you think, does it give you circle vibes?
that's true!! i think it does give me circular storytelling vibes in that they end in the same place as the beginning (in a sea of rumours that shove all the blame onto a single person)
yeah, I feel like he ends up right where he started but he's a completely different person than he was then. also the quote from the description of this list just screams wwx to me
you're right đđ his entire first life was just a tragedy in slow-motion
