The History of Resistance: Comic Book Edition
A picture is worth a thousand words, and sometimes that applies to comic books. What could be more effective in learning the history of resistance than via comic books? Especially if you happen to have grown up hearing "comic books aren't REAL books." đ

would it be okay to rec Persepolis ? i haven't personally read it but know it tackles coming of age during the iranian revolution and has some discussions of feminism and education i believe !!
Thanks for the recommendation! I even HAVE that one but it's sitting in the middle of my massive TBR and I kinda forgot I had it til you mentioned it.
I love this! Going to be adding so many to my TBR from this đ«¶đœ If youâre interested in recs, I think that Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts by Rebecca Hall would also fit
I absolutely LOVE recs! Don't want to stay limited to just what I've personally had access to and time to read. So thank you!
this is such a cool list!!
